Chassiron lighthouse :

From its height of 46m it marks the Antioche strait. At its foot a museum space has been set up and the bravest can climb its 224 steps to admire La Rochelle, the island of Ré and the north of Oléron.

The lighthouse of the Château d'Oléron

Lighting up the channel that separates the island from the coast, it is an opportunity to discover Le Château with its citadel and its colorful fishermen's huts.

But also the lighthouses of La Coubre, La Baleine and the island of Aix.

It's up to you to choose how you want to explore the coast and the islands from lighthouse to lighthouse.

Oléron by bike: 4 days / 3 nights

From €75 per night in a PC

With 160 km of cycle paths, Oléron is a paradise.

In the far north: the Chassiron lighthouse to discover La Rochelle and the island of Ré.

To the south: Saint Trojan and the fine sandy beaches.

To the west, the open sea, the port of La Cotinière and the fish locks.

To the east are marshes, forests and an unforgettable view of Fort Boyard.

Hop on your bike and explore the island at your own pace.

Electric or muscle bikes are available for rental at reception. 

 

 

A breath of air and light

Stay 7 days / 6 nights in full board

Discover Saint Trojan Les Bains: its port, its Belle Époque villas and the charm of a seaside resort that has managed to remain authentic.

Travel along the southern tip aboard the P'tit train, a real miniature train on rails.

Visit the Citadel of Chateau d'Oléron, the port, the colorful fishermen's huts now occupied by artists' studios. 

At the northern tip of the island, the majestic Chassiron lighthouse overlooks the Pertuis d'Antioche and secures the passages between Oléron Ré and La Rochelle. On the way you will have crossed the port of La Cotinière, an active artisanal fishing port.

Enjoy oysters in the heart of an oyster hut.
